Hyundai is eagerly anticipating the arrival of the Ioniq 5, the first model in the Ioniq’s dedicated BEV lineup brand. A recent announcement unveiled the first photos of the vehicle’s distinct and innovative design. The car’s exterior design emphasizes high tech eco-friendliness including a clamshell hood spanning the entire width of the car and aero-optimized 20” wheels. The Ioniq 6, a sleek sedan, will follow in 2022, and a large SUV named the Ioniq 7 is scheduled to debut in 2024. “Beginning with IONIQ 5, our dedicated BEV lineup brand will redefine the relationship between people and their cars, establishing a new standard against which all BEV design experiences will be measured,” said SangYup Lee, Senior Vice President and Head of Hyundai Global Design Center.
