More than 360,000 kids are turning 16 in August, and while they're undoubtedly eager to take advantage of the freedoms that come with having a driver's license, their parents are probably stressing out at the very same thing. Good thing, then, that Chevrolet is offering customers three free months of OnStar Family Link throughout August.

OnStar Family Link provides parents with the ability to remain connected with their teen driver. In addition to providing access to their teen's vehicle location, it allows parents to set up email or text alerts that notify them when a vehicle has arrived at or departed from a specific destination, or when the vehicle has left a defined area.

Owners of model 2012 or newer Chevrolets that carry an active OnStar subscription may sign up for the three months of free OnStar Family Link by visiting OnStar.com. After the trial period is ended, parents can continue the service for $3.99 a month (plus tax).

Our showroom at 1400 Locke Drive in Bourbonnais serves drivers from the Bourbonnais, Kankakee, Joliet, Matteson and Bradley areas.
