Touching Up Your Car's Exterior

One of the most important reasons to keep an eye out for large paint scratches on your car is because exposed metal can rust in the weather. This may eat away at the rest of the paint or plastic on your car's exterior. Fixing up paint scratches on your vehicle might be easier than you would think at first.

Be sure that the paint color you use is pretty much an exact match to your car's exterior. Put a small amount of the paint you have selected on a metal piece to let it dry. When you are satisfied with the color, start with a primer before applying a few thin coats of car paint to the damaged area. Top everything off with a clear coat. Cutting cream can be used when it is fully dry to bring out the shine.
