Hyundai Kona Open to Powertrain Possibilities

960 × 640

The Hyundai Kona, the newest crossover utility vehicle in Hyundai’s lineup, was designed with flexibility in mind. Not only does the Kona’s interior offer a 60/40 split rear seat to accommodate a variety of passenger and cargo options, but the Kona was also designed to offer a variety of powertrain options. The traditional gas powered Kona has already arrived in our showroom, but worldwide, Hyundai also plans on offering diesel and electric powered versions in the near future built on the same platform designed to accommodate all three powertrain options interchangeably. This future-forward design philosophy should help Hyundai reach their aggressive eco-friendly goals of a 60% “eco car” lineup by 2020 and 38 total green cars by 2025. We expect to learn more about the electric Hyundai Kona EV at its official debut at next week’s New York Auto Show. Phillips Auto Group in Frankfort, Lansing, and Bradley has a great selection of crossovers in stock including the Kona..
